Josef Matthieu Bassig

Prior joining the banking industry, Josef spent his first three years in the IT – engineering industry. Bringing his 11 years of experience in the banking industry, he joined TRBank in 2023 and currently serves as the CISO and DPO. Having been a service desk engineer, threat response trainee, IT auditor, information security officer, and IT risk officer, Josef understood better the role of balancing technology, budget, and people management to achieve security, especially in an industry which is a business of trust. In today’s age of easily accessible information and artificial intelligence, he upholds the value of learning from own experience and by connecting to the people around. He finds that it is through knowledge of environment and knowing the people surrounding you would have solved half of requirements in achieving security.
