John Alarcon

John has been in the cybersecurity space for 23 years with 13 years in banking and finance.  Before being the adjunct professor at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, he was Chief Information Security Officer at HSBC and PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies, a security officer at British Telecom and Account Security Officer at Hewlett Packard with client base varying from diverse industries such as airline, manufacturing, telecommunications, retail, and pharmaceuticals.  He was trained in cyber security, anti-cybercrimes, cybercrime law, and forensic investigations at the German Federal Police Academy at Baden-Würtemberg and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science.
