Mr. Lakshitha Jayaweera is a results-driven IT leader with over 20 years of experience in Banking Technology, including Fintech, Cloud, Blockchain, and Cybersecurity. He currently serves as Vice President of Information Technology at Citi Bank. Passionate about innovation that enhances accessibility and improves community well-being, Mr. Jayaweera has led several key initiatives, including the successful introduction of Faster Payments and the rollout of Direct Debit payments in Sri Lanka. He played a pivotal role in the LIBOR to RFR transition and enhanced user experience by integrating new digital channels with the core banking system, Flexcube. Additionally, he oversaw the implementation of the Financial Intelligence Report integration with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. His work focuses on bridging traditional banking with future-ready digital solutions that drive efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
