BankTech Asia returned in 2016 and was bigger than before! This time we hit the regional notes in Asia with our signature banking technology and fintech conference. For the first time, BankTech Asia spread its wings to expand the banking technology and fintech platform towards the other Asian countries.
The BankTech Asia wave hit the Philippines and Indonesia market in the 2nd & 3rd quarter of the year, followed by a finale in Kuala Lumpur in November 2016.
We teamed up with the top sources of the industry in order to best meet the volatile banking needs by keeping abreast with the latest technologies in the region. BankTech Asia 2016 proved to be the one stop conference for banking technology and fintech enthusiasts to have a better understanding and expectation of the future of banking technology.

BankTech Asia Manila 2016
Retail banking being one if not the biggest and most profitable areas of the banking industry is growing and expanding with the latest and most advanced technologies.
BankTech Asia 2016 held its Manila leg at the Dusit Thani Hotel last May 25 – 26, 2016. The event featured leading edge financial technology solutions and provided the opportunity for the speakers and delegates –composed of key industry leaders and decision makers from the banking sector –to exchange best practice strategies for applying innovation.
The conference in the Philippines was carefully designed to help the retail banking industry advance and reposition their strategic responses to the ever changing technological environment. Combining Information, Innovation and Technology, the theme of the conference centered around how the banking industry could move to the next level in the digital banking system with various national level topics such tackling financial inclusion and the National Retail Payment System (NRPS).
BankTech Asia Jakarta 2016
Held on 24th – 25th August 2016 at the Sheraton Gandaria City Jakarta, BankTech Asia created its presence in Indonesia with its signature banking technology and fintech conference with a specific focus on local issues within Indonesia.
The 8th Annual BankTech Asia: Jakarta Series covered topics on the booming of digital banking, improving service delivery by using innovative technologies, weighing on modern day customers trends, and also exploring opportunities in fast paced technology advancement. This exclusive conference was carefully designed to realise Indonesia banking demands in integrating technology in retail banking business.
As we explored the latest trends and technology breakthroughs in retail banking, we had the pleasure of having Mr Dumoly F. Pardede who is the Deputy Commissioner of Supervision of OJK (Financial Services Authority) and Mr Tuahta A Saragih who is the Deputy Director of Enforcement, Financial Supervision Directorate to share an outline of what the Fintech regulation of Indonesia will look like at BankTech Asia Jakarta.
All in all, it was certainly a successful event with many expressing their keen interest to participate in next years Jakarta series.

BankTech Asia returned to Kuala Lumpur in 2016 with the 8th annual banking technology and fintech conference & exhibition with a specific focus on regional issues that diversified into Retail Banking technology, Technology Risk Management and Payments & Transaction Management.
As the technological environment in this industry is extremely volatile and ever changing, BankTech Asia –Regional Series @ Kuala Lumpur brought the latest on what’s hot and what’s not from the industry, while displaying the state of the art banking technological elements that were utilized in creating new tools to boost customer’s banking experience.
